We left Toulouse and drove east towards Provence, via the walled city of Carcassonne. Incredible to turn a corner and then see it looming like an apparition in the distance....it was a beautiful day and we had a lovely wander through the little streets - which seemed to be mainly full of sweet shops - and then lunch.
As we were heading out, Zoe decided to spend her last 3 euros on a lollipop each for the kids....
Harvey says: Carcassonne was a great place to spend the day - we got lots of ideas for projects there and had a really nice lollipop from the confiserie. Overall, it was a great day.
Amelia says: Carcassonne is like a whole city inside of a castle - it has so many cool shops, especially the one you will have noticed - the lolly store - it was my favourite because we were allowed to get a lollipop from there. The lollipops lasted forever.
Zoe says: the lollipops were great - we all got coca cola. They last for a really long time.
wow willis-es, this all looks too good to be true. am studying the photos very hard, trying to find evidence of kid fighting, chinese burns etc...but no, looks like butter wouldn't melt in their french-lolly-filled little mouths. keep up the blogs, loving it x
ReplyDeleteThe photos only tell half the story Rums - there has been as much fighting shouting sulking and general family mayhem as there usually is - just not taking too many photos of the tantrums (kids and ours!) ha ha!!! Xx
